  Title: Director of Product Management 

Description:

The Director of Product Management will be charged with building an expansive product roadmap to meet the customer’s needs and improve upon Select Comfort's competitive position. These products should be highly innovative and need to deliver real consumer benefits creating an end result of aggressively broadening awareness and consideration.

The position combines feedback from consumer insights, competitive landscape, product development, field expertise and other constituents to define strategic vision, product lifecycles and the execution path supporting the company priorities.  In addition, this role will lead the commercialization, (end to end execution) activities of key product launches within the organization.

This role will oversee product lifecycles from initial proposal through production and sales, including the following:

  • - Working with consumer insights, the will Identify trends in the marketplace when suggesting new products or product enhancements.
  • - Evaluate business opportunities to put into concept development research.
  • - Product PNL responsibility: review COGS features and benefits to assess pricing projections in order to ensure that the strategic direction of a product is in line with overall company goals and financial objectives.
  • - Familiarity with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • - Lead holistic commercialization of product launches.

The skill-set/ background of the role will require the following:

  • - Proven track record of bringing forth and executing iconic product introductions.
  • - Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. 
  • - Strong cross functional leadership: demonstrated ability to engage teams and external partners to generate expected results.
  • - A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
  • - The ideal candidate will have exceptional background in product strategy, project management and communications.

Responsibilities:

  • - Performs customer needs assessments, competitor analysis to improve competitive position.
  • - Analyze and recommend opportunities for new product development and innovation for the target customer: inclusive or projections of market share impact/ opportunity from new product introductions.
  • - Serve as program manager for the development, integration and roll-out of major product innovations.
  • - Leads end to end execution of product positioning and commercialization
  • - Manage relationships with internal and external manufacturing partners of product projects.
  • - Prepare, recommend and allocate financial resources for products/programs within forecasted guidelines and regulated expenditures.
  • - Motivate, lead and champion the efforts of cross-functional teams on product definition, positioning development and commercialization.
  • - Manage pricing and product integrity of product lines.
  • - Provide leadership and manage product management staff. (2-4 employees)

  • - PNL responsibility of beds: ability to execute and deliver financial goals supporting company goals

  • - Assist in determining product portfolio inclusive of product messaging, pricing, packaging, promotion and marketing.

Requirements:

  • - 10 years experience in product management: holistic in approach, positioning and definition, to concept & feasibility to commercialization
  • - PNL responsibility
  • - Preferred durable background with longer consideration phase products
  • - Ability to identify how and where to compete with product line
  • - Multiple company backgrounds (at least 2 in product management capacity)
  • - Holistic product management experience
  • - Bachelors Degree: MBA Preferred
  • - Ability to solve problems with multiple variables in situation where minimal processes exist
  • - Ability to inter-relate with multiple personality types and functional foundations

Title: Brand Marketing Specialist 

Description:

The Brand Marketing Specialist role will drive marketing processes and ensure implementation of brand enhancements that align with the Sleep Number brand and help the organization to better target the end consumer. This position will lead multiple initiatives to drive internal brand compliance to a new level. This role will help to advance the brand by improving customer awareness, traffic, consideration and purchase of the Sleep Number bed.

Responsibilities Include:

  • -Lead collaboration between Product Management, Consumer Insights and copywriters to develop product positioning and key feature and benefit messaging for product launches
  • -Manage photo and video shoots, including obtaining internal approvals, coordinating timelines, and managing logistics and budgets.
  • -Serve as a key marketing liaison for the wholesale and hospitality businesses (QVC, Camping World, Hospitality, International, Retail Partners).
  • -Identify opportunities, recommend strategies and lead evolution of marketing vehicles to advance the brand in this business channel.
  • -Lead cross-functional Brand Governance projects Manage brand toolkit and coach other employees on brand standards Work with Marketing Manager, agencies and business partners to implement a video asset library.
  • -Responsible for managing video assets on an ongoing basis.
  • -Responsible for identifying and managing a system for organizing historical Sleep Number and competitive creative Provide brand leadership for promotional periods and market share-events

Requirements:

  • -3-5 years experience marketing or communications experience

Title: Manager - Product Development 

Description:

The Product Development Manager will lead the development of new products and product categories from concept to launch. New product development will require significant cross-functional leadership to bring new products to market. Leading development activities will require a strong business acumen and engagement through all phases of the development cycle and will include regular reviews with senior management to ensure alignment on business objectives and resource allocation.

Responsibilities Include:

  • -Lead collaboration across broad cross functional teams to develop products with feature and benefits in support of product positioning and brand vision
  • -Manage development and commercialization activities for medium to large size product launches (4 months to 1 year development times)
  • -Manage communication to cross-functional groups regarding on-going product improvements
  • -Understands business processes and business systems. Understand in-market needs of new products and ensure products and systems are developed in support of in-market goals
  • -Actively resolve any open issues with new products coming to market, working cross functionally with business and supply partners

Title: Website Content Specialist 

Description:

The Website Content Specialist will be responsible for overall content management of the company’s website, sleepnumber.com. This person will perform regular updates to the website, including pricing, promotions, and new products. In conjunction with the digital marketing team, this individual will conduct proactive audits of the web site and effectively document issues. The successful candidate will have strong attention to detail, drive for continuous improvement and a passion for digital platforms and ecommerce.

Responsibilities Include:

  • -Manages day to day operations of the website content management system, including manual updates of banners, pricing, content, promotions, discounts, products and SKUs.
  • -Manage incoming issues/tickets and resolve or escalate accordingly.
  • -Build landing pages for promotions, new stores, new products, etc.
  • -Perform regular site audits and tests to ensure quality and accuracy of content and the checkout process.
  • -Conduct User Acceptance Testing for new deployments.
  • -Assist with Rich Media (Flash/Video) projects.
  • -Support additional projects and platforms as necessary.

Requirements:

  • -Minimum 2-4 years’ experience with ecommerce and/or online marketing, merchandising, or related activities.

Title: Director of Customer Relationship Management  

Description:

The Director of Customer Relationship Management will lead the company’s strategies to convert identified prospects into loyal, passionate, Sleep Number bed Insiders and evangelists. This person will lead the CRM marketing, loyalty and database analytics teams to maximize lead acquisition, conversion rates and word-of mouth referrals through our database-driven direct marketing and email programs. This person will play a key cross-functional leadership role in guiding customer experiences throughout the organization. The role will require demonstrated leadership expertise in marketing strategy, catalog, loyalty programs and multi-channel CRM with a leading retail, direct mail or consumer products company. The role will require deep understanding of customer analytics and database marketing using both direct mail and digital communication.

Responsibilities Include:

  • -Drive the vision and strategies for all customer relationship management touch points across the organization
  • -Provides leadership and direction for the CRM team that personifies Sleep Number Leadership DNA, ensures the continued effectiveness of the function and furthers the development of each professional
