Sleep Number® FlexFit 1 Adjustable Base

Sleep Number ® FlexFit ™ 1 Adjustable Base 1 5 1 1
Too pricey, not worth it. We purchased the adjustable base with massage and it is very loud. The vibration pretty much shakes up everything in our bedroom. Also, we have a very curious toddler that we constantly have to hide the remote from, so we hardly get any use out of it. It's turned out to be more of a hazard than an enjoyable luxury. Not worth the pricey tag, and it's beyond unfortunate that it's non-returnable! May 1, 2014

Answer:
Thanks for posting your question about the Partner Snore feature available on some of our adjustable bases, Sharon!

Some owners reported the Partner Snore feature helps reduce mild snoring. Some of our customers have found that a slight elevation of their head helps open breathing pathways and others that the slight movement of the bed will cause them to roll over. Often a change in sleep position will also pause snoring. We have not done any clinical trials on the effectiveness.

Answer:
Hi BLee485. we appreciate you posting your question about our adjustable bases! We're happy to help answer this for you.

Because of the way our queen size models are designed, it would leave a very small sleeping surface for our customers to use on each side of the bed if we were to offer a split queen size. For that reason, we do not currently offer any of our models in a split queen but do offer all of them in a split king option if you would like to have the ability to raise and lower the head and foot of the bed independently on each side.

If you need more information on our adjustable bases, or the sizes available, we recommend copying the link below and pasting it into your web browser from 7AM-11PM CST seven days a week to connect with a member of our Live Chat Team.

Hi Rooky1961, thanks for taking the time to post your question about using our mattresses with your adjustable base! I'd be happy to help answer this questions for you.

All of our models of mattresses are made to industry standard size, and will work on any standard size base or bedroom furniture. So, assuming your base is made to industry standard size, our mattress will work just fine on your base.

Hi Bigjoe, thanks for taking the time to post your question about our FlexFit adjustable bases! I'm happy to help answer this for you.

In order to support you properly and safely, the adjustable base needs to be resting with its legs on the floor. As long as your frame is open on the bottom, allowing the legs of the adjustable base to rest on the floor, you can use the base and frame together.

If you have any other questions on our adjustable base, please feel free to simply post them here, or you can copy the link below and paste it into your web browser from 7AM-11PM CST seven days a week to connect with our Live Chat Agents who can also help with any questions you have.

Answer:
Hi Edillon, thanks for taking the time to post your question about our FlexFit Adjustable Bases. I'm happy to help answer this for you.

The adjustable base is a platform that your current mattress, or any standard size mattress, will rest on. The platform of the base itself inclines at the head and foot to raise the head and foot of the mattress.

As all of our mattresses and all of our bases are made to industry standard size, you absolutely can pair your current Queen size mattress with any of our three different FlexFit Adjustable Base models in a Queen size, giving you the ability to raise and lower the head of the bed, and, in the case of the FlexFit 2 and 3, the head and foot of the bed.

If you have any other questions about our FlexFit Adjustable Bases, feel free to simply post them here, or you can copy the link below and paste it into your web browser from 7AM-11PM CST to connect with our Live Chat Team who can also help answer any questions you may have.

Adjustable Base Height

I currently have a platform bed and like the color and layout. It has the wooden slats that right now support my standard king select base and standard king select comfort. I want to upgrade to the adjustable standard split king and split king select mattress and use this bed frame. I suspect I would need to remove the slats so the adjustable base would sit on the floor inside my frame without the middle slats and the matress on top. I am just trying to see if first this would work and second the height of the base to see where the top would hit before the matress is put on. Just don't want to go to lay on the bed and I hit the side frame because it is not tall enough.

Thanks for asking, Tina! Our FlexFit™ adjustable bases need to touch the ground in order to function correctly, so the slats in your frame would definitely need to be removed in order to use one of our bases. I'm happy to say the height of our adjustable bases can be customized depending on your needs and the legs you choose for your base, so there's a very good chance we can find a height that will work for you so long as your bed frame is compatible with our FlexFit™ bases. If you'd like more information on the height options we can offer you or want to confirm your frame will work with our adjustable bases, please copy the link below and paste it into your web browser anytime from 7 AM to 8 PM CT to chat with us directly and we'll be happy to look into this for you.

Can the adjustable bases be used with a platform bed

We have a captains bed with drawers. We would like to get an adjustable base, but love the drawer space in our bed.

    Queen Bed

Hi, I have the queen sleep number bed that adjust only for the whole mattress and not individual sides. Can I purchase a base to replace my current base so I can raise and lower the head portion of the bed? Also, how does the bed work? Does the foundation raise up?
