Sleep Number ® Total Encasement Mattress Pad
Works fine but cleaning is a huge pain
The total mattress encasement works as expected and is made from quality material.
However, when the time comes to wash the cover, removing it is a real pain in the butt. You have to unzip 3 sides of it, then remove the hoses not only from the air chamber, but also from the special tube on the mattress cover. I nearly broke the connector off the hose.
Please, please, please...won't someone design a full encasement cover where the zipper goes all the way around and you can remove the top half for laundering while leaving the bottom half on the bed with the hoses still attached. The top is the only portion that is actually getting dirty. Most of the bottom half is between the mattress and lower frame and rarely sees the light of day. It seems utterly ridiculous to me that someone has not thought of this already.

Too big and bunches
While this cover does what it says and totally encases your mattress, it is too large for my SleepNumber and bunches under the sheets. So its actually a pain in the you-know-what. Its made of quality though, so my only real issue is fit. I'm really undecided if I would recommend this to someone or not but my choice was yes or no. I won't buy one for my other bed unless I needed an encasement and it was the only one to buy.

total mattress protection
We have had this cover for two years and was definitely worth the purchase. I only wish the tube sleeves were color coded as we turned our tubes around and had to completely redo it.

Cover changes feel of memory foam mattress
I bought an M7 mattress and encased it with this case. The case works, which is good because my wife has terrible dust allergies. But it definitely changes the feel of the memory foam. The M7 foam is gel infused and feels so good without the case; with the case its just not as soft and responsive. I would love to know if anyone else has run into this and if anyone has any sort of workarounds. Also, just a warning to others, if you put this case on menory foam it wont feel like it does in the store.

Not for older model beds
Purchased this cover for my queen 7000 bed. I purchased my bed in 2005. My bed has four hoses instead of two like the newer beds. I did not realize this when I ordered the total encasement cover, but then again it isn't stated on the website (even though there is a picture with just the two hoses) that's it's strictly for two hose beds. Please make one for older beds!

EXACTLY WHAT I WANTED
This is Exactly what everyone needs on their bed to protect it. There is extra room but if there wasn't than there wouldn't be any room to adjust your sleep number without streching and pulling on fabric. Easy enough to put on, and would be easier with two people. I can defently sleep sound knowing that my bed has this protection on it! I do use another mattress pad to keep me from the hassel of having to take this one on and off.

Not what we expected
We purchased the P5 bed. The encasement was at least 6" to deep so it was bunchy under the sheets. Plus it was
also hot to sleep on so you would still want to get a mattress pad. Also, this product is not to be used on a FlexFit base. If it would fit the mattress properly, and you still use a mattress pad, it may be alright.
