Sleep Number ® In Balance ⢠Sheets
Durability and wear concerns
After the initial purchase, I was very pleased with the InBalance bedding. It did seem to be more breathable than typical cotton bed linens. I was very pleased with smoothness and softness of the fabric.
I'm not sure what the expected wear life should be on these. I bought them about 9 months ago, April of 2014. By November of 2014, the fitted sheet had begun to tear; the elastic surround was slowly tearing from the sheet itself, despite extreme care to avoid putting undo pressure on it.
By December of 2014 (8 months after purchase), the sheets seemed to begin shrinking suddenly. I had not changed anything about my laundry routine - same machine, soap, temperature settings. But the fitted sheet causes the SleepNumber bed to fold up like a taco for an hour until it stretches back out. The flat sheet is even worse. Length has remained the same, but width has shrunk to the point where it no longer can extend over the sides of the bed. Visually, it looks like a Queen sized flat sheet on a King bed.
Of course, some wear and shrinkage is to be expected. But this seemed premature. Given the premium price of the InBalance line, I was expected to get at least a full year of use from them.

Great at keeping us cool!
I bought these sheets two years ago and they have made a noticeable improvement in our sleep quality. My husband sleeps very hot and often has difficulty falling asleep because he can't cool down. Once we got these sheets, we both noticed an immediate difference. He was able to fall asleep more quickly and stay asleep for longer periods of time. He doesn't wake up in the morning drenched in sweat! We used these sheets continuously for two years, washing them weekly, and they have only just worn out. We immediately repurchased because I don't know if we'll ever find another set of sheets that we can agree on, or that makes such a difference in our sleep quality!

Comfortable but poor quality
I purchased Flex top King Sleep Number Bed 6 months ago, and also purchased the Temp Balancing Sheets, only to find they didn't come with pillow cases, truly the MOST expensive sheets I have ever owned.
I loved the feel of the sheets, but after only 2 washings, the center area of the sheet started coming apart. Very disappointing. There must be issues with the manufacturing of the sheets, because both bottom fitted sheets have holes now.

Purchased a Split King SN Bed a few months ago, also purchased a set of the split king sheets... after first wash they are coming apart where the two tops split/meet. CANNOT BELIEVE $350 Sheet Set would only last 1 wash. NOT IMPRESSED... NOT WHEN YOU SPEND THAT KIND OF $$$ We love our bed, just not the quality or cost off sheets for it.

Don't Buy--They don't last!
Paid 4 x the amount that we'd normally pay for sheets, and after two washings (!) there was a large hole in the fitted sheet! Thankfully, I called SleepNumber and they are sending me a one-time replacement. By the looks of these reviews, however, I would go elsewhere for a better value in sheets!

So Glad I Overlooked Bad Reviews
I love these sheets. I've been in need of these for years. I am so glad that I found them. They keep me cool at night and my husband hasn't even noticed that I changed anything on the bed. He gets cold easy and I sleep hot, so these are a wonderful solution to this problem. It is a good thing when one can find solutions to problems instead of living with them. Added bonus: These sheets are very comfortable. I like them better than the "Classic" line.

How is it that these sheets do not come with pillow cases? I purchased sheets for my FlexTop King mattress and it was not until I opened them when I discovered they do not come with pillow cases. The price certainly is not in support of the quality to give the customer a "value". This seems to be a case of gouging the customer rather that helping the customer. While the bed is a great product, the associated sheets are a blemish on your otherwise good name. I might have been less upset even if the sale associate had let me know rather than finding out once I got home. My fellow Flex-Top owners and those thinking of getting one, please read the fine print!

Did not last
The sheet were really comfortable at first. Lasted less then 6 months, ripped right down the middle. Would expect them to last a lot longer then that considering the price of them.
