Depending on how long you’ve owned your bed, some replacement parts may be covered either fully or partially under your warranty.</p>\n<h2>How to order replacement parts</h2>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Determine the problem</strong></li>\n</ol>\n<p class=\"wysiwyg-indent4\">Sometimes you’ll know what replacement part you need, for example a new remote or mattress cover. If you’re not sure of the source of the problem, some troubleshooting on your own can make it easier for a Sleep Professional to help you and identify which part you need. See “<a href=\"https://www.sleepnumber.com/support/categories/204141508-Fix-a-Problem\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Fix a Problem</a>”  for more information.</p>\n<ol start=\"2\">\n<li><strong>Contact Customer Service</strong></li>\n</ol>\n<p class=\"wysiwyg-indent4\">When you contact Customer Service, a Sleep Professional will tell you if the replacement part you need is covered under your warranty, or if not, the cost for the part.</p>\n<ol start=\"3\">\n<li><strong>Replacement part shipped to you</strong></li>\n</ol>\n<p class=\"wysiwyg-indent4\">Sleep Number will ship your replacement part directly to you; we will verify your preferred shipping address when you order.</p>\n<ol start=\"4\">\n<li><strong>Install replacement part</strong></li>\n</ol>\n<p class=\"wysiwyg-indent4\">For help installing your part after it arrives, see the articles and videos under “Installing replacement parts” below. Slide the mattress off the base to access the FCS compartment under the sleeper left foot of the bed. You may need to disconnect the hoses on the side of your bed in order to move the mattress enough to access the FCS compartment.   </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span class=\"wysiwyg-underline\"><strong>Steps to install replacement Firmness Control™ system:</strong></span></p>\n<p>Disconnect the hoses and power cord from the existing FCS.</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Remove the existing FCS and place the new FCS in the compartment.</li>\n<li>Connect the power cord.</li>\n<li>Connect the air hose connections.
