Our exclusive IndividualFitSM 3-D imaging measures the interface pressure between a body and the surface on which it is lying, using a special sheet comprised of 1,000 individual measurement points. The result is a computer-generated 3-D image that shows how the sleep surface conforms to the body, the location of pressure points between the surface and the body, and the relative degree of severity of these pressure points.
Significant sleep science research, backed up by third-party clinical studies, concludes that sleeping comfort is impacted by the number and severity of pressure points. The higher the number and severity of pressure points, the more a person moves while sleeping (tossing and turning), reducing their sleep quality.
