Sleep Number® FlexFit 2 Adjustable Base

Sleep Number ® FlexFit ™ 2 Adjustable Base 3.5 5 4 4
What about us? I recently purchased my second adjustable bed, the FlexFit 2, this past August (my original was nine years old). I have a queen mattress and I was expecting the same quality as I experienced before. I would have higher ratings but I feel you dropped the ball when you did your focus groups. You may have left out individuals with arthritis and persons with disabilities. Accessibility is the issue. Your triangle remote looks great, l even like it that it lights up with the slightest movement, has Zero-G, snore, and a timer. However, I am a quadriplegic of 30 years and have come up with many ways of working out solutions when a challenged is presented, but I cannot work your remote because all the buttons are recessed. I am sure those with arthritis cannot work it as well. You may have missed this demographic entirely. Your present remote has more options, but the previous remote had buttons that were available and easier to operate. But you made the remote more difficult here is why: Previous: There were three different positions presets settings, as well as flat. Plus an up and down. All buttons were accessible. Present: Now you have to take extra steps. Select head or foot, then up and down. Select favorites, then your favorite position you programmed or flat, snore, or Zero-G. Plus the triangle shape moves from side to side when individuals with limited hand function try to press the buttons. Most frustrating. I use your product to prevent bed sores. If you are conducting some R&D, please take the following into account. Make the remote voice activated. Increase the number of programmable position (5), allow for personalized naming of those positions. This is in addition to snore, Zero G, timer and flat. You can add all the options you want but if we cannot select them, what’s the point. Many baby boomers with strong resources will be entering this market if they haven't already. It will be sad if a little remote is the difference maker. BTW - I did contact you directly and was told a call back would come but never did. October 26, 2014
Flex fit Adjustable 2 base with I-8 mattress Together this combination of a bed is great! Very comfortable and with the adjustable controls you can discover almost any position that helps with back pain, reading, watching T.V. Etc. I am so happy to own this bed! The only complaint I had was the frame has roller wheel casters on the bottom. These wheels locks in position, but I have a hard ceramic tile floor, which allowed the bace to slide. Sleep Number Support sent me floor rubber cups (8) to fix the problem. I was provided a significant discount, but still feel this should have not cost me a dime, since I have a very significant investment in the I-8 bed, with an adjustable flexfit 2 bace frame. But overall I am a very happy owner of a sleep number bed! I would highly recommend anyone to buy this beg. It's wonderful and exceeds your expectations of a bed! July 26, 2014
Best purchase for my back pain I recently purchased a P5 with the adjustable 2 base to replace my 14 year old Sleep Number mattress. I couldn't be happier with my purchase. It has made a world of difference in the amount of sleep I get every night. My sleep number is 45 but I have found that while relaxing in bed with the head of the bed raised I prefer the bed to be at 55. I feel the higher number gives me a little more support. The joy of a Sleep Number is that I can change it to my needs. May 25, 2014
Wrong Purchase and worse purchase ever Very poor quality. The worse mistake I have ever made in my life. Buying the bed dumping money in trash can. April 18, 2014

Congratulations on your new bed, Bert! All of our sheets are designed to have the same name as the bed size they fit to help prevent confusion when ordering. For instance, Split King sheets work for Split King beds. The same is true of our Split California King, FlexTop (King), and FlexTop California King sizes. If you're not quite sure which size your bed is, we can help with that too! Just copy the link below and paste it into your web browser anytime from 7 AM to 11 PM CT to talk with us live and we'll be happy to find your file and let you know which size your bed is so you can order the sheets you need.

Answer:
Thanks for giving us a chance to answer this for you, Cherbear. The information you received in the store is correct; our adjustable bases need to be in contact with the floor to work properly and it's not possible for the base to rest on the drawers you have under your bed, so the legs of the adjustable base can’t be entirely removed. If the drawers take up the entire space under your bed, they most likely won't work with our adjustable bases. If the drawers are mostly placed around the edge of your bed, there's still a chance we can get this to work for you and we'd encourage you to copy the link below and paste it into your web browser anytime from 7 AM to 11 PM CT so we can learn more about your current bed and let you know for sure if our adjustable bases will work with your drawers.

Queen size adjustable bed

When we purchased our bed the first week on March 2014 - we were told that the queen adjustable does not come with a split mattress to allow different adjustment levels and to get that we needed to purchase the king. Now I think I am reading that this is not the case. So, does the queen come in a split mattress to or is it a solid mattress and my wife and I must agree on the adjustment level? If queen size is available in the split mattress what can I do to exchange the mattress I just got delivered for a split?

Answer:
Thanks for asking, Mike. Our Queen Dual Beds come with two adjustable air chambers so each sleeper can set their side to a firmness setting that works for them, but we aren't currently making Split Queen beds that would allow each sleeper to individually adjust the height of the head and foot of their side of the bed. If you have any follow up questions about your bed or there’s anything else we can help you with, please copy the link below and paste it into your web browser anytime from 7 AM to 11 PM CT and we’ll be happy to continue working with you.

Answers about the queen are confusing!

In one question, it answers that the flex fit base comes in queen, and another says no, it doesn't. Maybe one was referring to the base and the other was referring to the mattress?

So, if you purchase the split adjustable base in queen, what are the options for queen mattresses that would allow the separate adjustment of each person's head?

Hi Pattijoa, thanks for taking the time to ask about our adjustable bases! I'm happy to help answer this for you.

At this time, none of our adjustable bases are available in a Split Queen size. You can purchase our mattress in a queen size and add an adjustable base, and you will be able to adjust the firmness in the bed independently on each side with our DualAir Technology, but the head and foot of the bed would raise and lower together.

If you need any further information on our adjustable bases, please feel free to simply post another question, or you can copy the link below and paste it into your web browser from 7AM-11PM CST seven days a week to connect with a member of our Live Chat Team for assistance.

Answer:
Thanks for asking, DoctorSid! The Snore feature on our FlexFit2 base is a preset position you can select from your remote that lifts the head of the bed 5-7 inches to elevate your upper body. Raising the head of the bed can help open breathing pathways, which can in turn reduce mild snoring for some owners. On a Queen size bed, the entire bed is raised when you select the Snore position. Our Partner Snore option, which allows you to raise your partner's side of the bed to this position while leaving the head of your bed at its original setting, is only available on Split and Flextop size beds that allow each side of the bed to adjust independently.

If you have any other questions about the Snore feature or want more information on any of our beds or FlexFit bases, please just post them here or copy the link below and paste it into your web browser anytime from 7 AM to 11 PM CT and we’ll be happy to go over more details with you.

My wife and I are enjoying the new bed but when we are not using the options for raising head and feet, the gap between us sometimes creates a problem. Is there something you sell for bridging this?
