This infographic shows 9 ways to help better manage allergens in your home.

  1. Wash stuffed animals regularly

  2. Consider using a dehumidifier

  3. Sleep with your head slightly elevated.

  4. Take a warm (not hot) shower before bed.  Too hot and it’ll increase your internal body temperature which results in you taking longer to fall asleep.

  5. Use allergen-blocking protectors on your mattress and pillows.

  6. Get ready for bed in another room to remove the possibility of bringing clothes you wore all day into the place you sleep.

  7. Wash your bedding weekly in hot water.

  8. Use the dryer, not a clothesline.

  9. Bathe your dog and pets often.
