Things are looking up for top-tier college football player Jaquan Brisker as he prepares for the 2022 NFL Draft. Learn more about how quality sleep is taking him to the next level.

“When my phone rings, I feel like it's going to be crazy," said NFL Draft hopeful Jaquan Brisker. “Mom’s, probably going to be crying, just looking back at to where I came from now, went all through that. Now, probably setting my family up for bigger things in life."

A gifted athlete and one of six children, Jaquan started playing football with his siblings when he was only four years old.

“We used to run around the house," Jaquan says. “Mom would take the ball away from me and then I'd just use water bottles as a football or roll up some socks and use them as a football."

Brisker also played basketball while growing up, but gravitated toward football and quickly became an important part of his team's success throughout his career. He graduated from Penn State, earning Third Team All-Big Ten Conference honors during his senior season.

Defensive players, particularly in the secondary, need a combination of strength, lateral quickness, and straightaway speed to successfully guard wide receivers and tight ends. Jaquan recently got a Sleep Number® smart bed to track his sleep quality, in turn improving his recovery time, technique, and speed on the field.

“It's going to be different in the NFL. So you got to turn it up to another level, sleep for recovery, for all the aches and pains or for the injuries," Jaquan said. “It was very important just to make sure we get enough hours of sleep. So, I got a Sleep Number smart bed."
