An injury in his final collegiate game isn't slowing star college football player Matt Corral down as he prepares for the 2022 NFL Draft. Learn more about how quality sleep plays a big role in his training.

“I remember I rolled out to the left. When I took off, I got tripped up and a dude landed on my ankle," says NFL Draft entree Matt Corral. “And immediately what flashed in my head was my family, the NFL. The pain never settled. My decision to play in the Sugar Bowl was the same, like, why I played football. Why do I play football? Because I'm a competitor. Because I love doing it."

Matt Corral was named Second Team All-SEC during his final season as quarterback of the Ole Miss Rebels, leading the team to a 10-2 record and an appearance in the Sugar Bowl. Corral suffered his injury in the first quarter — and sleep has been an essential part of getting back to full strength.

“The Sleep Number 360 smart bed, it does everything for me," Matt said. “From understanding where I'm at with my sleep regimen, knowing that I got the right amount of sleep and knowing that I'm on a good pace to be wide awake and clear-minded when I wake up. The best ability is availability and being able to recover quickly. And again, sleep is a big part of that."

With his new Sleep Number® smart bed, he can adjust his settings just the way he likes, from elevation angles to temperature.

“From a mental aspect, it's just not being groggy and being clear-minded on what everybody's doing on the field," Matt said. “And you need sleep to execute all of that. The Sleep Number smart bed, it played a big part of what I need to do. Authenticity is key for me. And it's something that I always want to work with brands and companies that I believe in, that I will put to good use."
